So...no romance, right?

So the manga is ongoing, but the source material stems from a shoujo ln. Given it stems from a shoujo and has prettyboys, a romance ending is certain though romance is not always the main focus.

Why are you asking manga readers when the manga is not even the source???

Why would you care about “romance” when the anime is fantastic as is?

@ejleon If there's no evolution in the relationship between Maomao and Jinshi, it gets very boring and always the same. Even if it isn't a romantic relationship, just friends, it need to evolve.

Hopefully there will be none, Jinshi doesn't deserve Maomao, she should reject him and stay the untouchable maiden she is.

It quite clearly says the light novel is the source.
Which is obvious since the LN literally first released 3 years before the manga.

There clearly IS romance but it's slow burn and LN is miles ahead.

We just need to wait for the day it gets anime but it might be years from now. I guess that's why it's not tagged romance.
I love the pining stage anyway. Jinshi is head over heels for Maomao at this point. How is that not considered romance?

Ugh, can they just add an extra label to the Related Entries section called "Source" so that the redesign doesn't confuse even more people who don't know how to read the information section.

@mugen_ga I meant exactly what I said. Last year's redesign of certain aspects of the website made the related entries section less clear (it did NOT just effect appearance).

If they clearly differentiated sources from adaptations under related entries, it would certainly avoid arguments like one that happened earlier in this topic.

Well, I’m up to volume 12 of the manga and still nothing. At the rate this season is going we might make it up to that point if not the arc mystery arc just before it.
